“When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them. The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.” Psalm 126: 1-3
For James Osondu of the IGI Parish of the Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement, Aba Diocese, it was a case losing everything he had to a religious crisis that caught up with him while he was in Kaduna. He relocated from the city with nothing. But despite the very unpleasant condition he found himself, he continued to serve the Lord and to trust him for a miracle. God eventually rescued him from the excruciating grip of lack and prospered him amazingly. Today, he is a happy man, still serving the Lord and grateful to Him for turning his situation around. And recently, he testified at a combined Sunday meeting at the Watchman Diocesan Fellowship Centre, Aba. Charismatic Signs was there:
“I AM here to testify to the goodness of the Lord in my life. This marks one year that the Lord took me up from ‘zero to glory’! In 2000, I lost all my belongings during a religious uprising in Kaduna and I left the city with just one pair of slippers and one shirt. Here, I tried to start afresh to rebuild my life but it proved very difficult. I somehow set up a business enterprise which eventually failed. Life was not easy at all, but I kept on serving the Lord and trusting in Him. The Lord too was assuring me that He was quite aware of my condition, and that after the trial period, I would shine forth as gold. Now last year, during the programme, “24 Hours with the God of Watchman,” there was a declaration in the course of the ministrations that God had said that He was going to turn around our situations in a way that would be most amazing. Later, our Diocesan Pastor came up to declare that the turn around would be accompanied with great favour.
After the declarations, I was sitting down here that day and my phone rang and I went to answer it. I never knew that it was the favour that God spoke about that was already coming, and that God was making a way for me. After that day, and the subsequent days, the Lord began His work, and if you look around today, you will discover that there is a great turn around. On the 21st of this month, my company is going to honour me. In fact, I know that in a couple of days from now I will be coming to the church with something different and every eye will see it and know that God has done it. Today, God has fulfilled the promise He made to me on the 28th of December, 2008, when He said that He would lift me up from the ground to a very high level. All that I have lost from 2000, the Lord of heaven has restored a hundred fold. It sounds incredible even to me. I am standing here to say that if God has said anything concerning you, just have patience, it must surely come to pass. Join me and thank the Lord.”
