It was an elated Mrs. Tina Ezendu, with her husband, relatives and friends that stepped out at the Watchman Fellowship Centre, Iyana-Ipaja, Agege, Lagos, on that Sunday, to share the testimony of what God had done for her. Beaming with smiles, the song she raised, ‘God Will Make A Way Where There Seems To Be No Way’ had tremendous effect on the congregation which showed its appreciation by making a loud joyful noise to God. For fourteen years, after her marriage, Mrs. Ezendu had waited patiently on God to bless her with the fruit of the womb. Today, her joy is complete and she is now the mother of lovely Divine Ezendu. Read now her testimony which she shared that Sunday:
“I married very early and had great expectations. I want to say today that what I could not have when I was younger has become possible in my middle-age. I stand on behalf of my family to thank the Lord almighty for this day and to appreciate Him with this testimony which most of you are already aware of. I had a delayed conception for over fourteen years but today, I am fulfilled because God has made me a fruitful vine in my husband’s house.
Before now, many had told me how they had seen me pregnant in their dreams and revelations. Some specifically told me that they saw me in their dreams carrying a baby. At some occasions, the pastor had called me out to be prayed for. He even declared seven days fasting and prayers for me to conceive. He also had a vigil with us. After sometime, we began to tell God to translate the revelations to practical reality. At some point, my elder brother who is a medical doctor advised me to take some drugs which he provided, but I refused to take them, saying to myself that if I couldn’t have children when I was much younger, was it going to happen now that I was in my middle-age?
But the God of Watchman who has said that we are wonders to our generation has given me joy and caused me to laugh.
Our pastor told us that the month of July 2012 would be a month to be remembered. During a programme some couple of years back at Awo-Omamma, the man of God, our General Superintendent, while ministering referred to 2 Chronicles 20:20 and said that we should believe the prophet and we shall prosper. In my prayers I told God that since our pastor had said that the month of July 2012 would be a month to be remembered, He should remember me in a special way. In August 2012, he also declared that we were in the month of multiplication. Brethren, I exercised faith on all the declarations and to my amazement that was the very month I took in. During the pregnancy, I never had any sickness; I was strong throughout the period and watched with keen interest as my tummy protruded progressively. It was like, could this be true but today, the reality of the seed is what we have all come here to celebrate as we give thanks to God.
Honestly, throughout the period, I did not take any herbal concoction neither did I visit any herbal home. I only depended on God and the words being dispensed from the pulpit of many colours and that is the gospel truth. The reproach and yoke of childlessness has been broken and now I am fulfilled.
Praise the Lord.”
