“MY name is Gloria Eze and I worship at the Aiyetoro Parish of the Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement, Lagos. Brethren, I want to give thanks to the Almighty God who has removed a reproach from me by visiting me with the fruit of the womb after about twelve years of marriage.
We got married in the year 2000. After the joy and fulfillment that usually go with the occasion, I settled down in my matrimonial home expecting that very soon we would be blessed with a baby. Then the first and second year passed and nothing happened. I became apprehensive and started visiting several places in search of solution. But all our efforts proved abortive. So we continued to wait.
In 2004, I was introduced to the Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement. When I came here, I carried my burden to the Lord, believing that God will surely hear my prayers. I relaxed my mind and whenever I came to fellowship, I would pay attention to the teachings coming from the pulpit and that enhanced my knowledge of the Bible. I believed the scripture which says that “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven” (Ecclesiastes3:1). However, I never ceased to pray and present my matter to God. But sometime in 2010, I decided to open up on my situation and went to see the pastor. As I narrated my story to him, tears flowed down my cheeks. The pastor then told me not to weep, that God has wiped off my tears. He counseled and prayed for me and asked me to go after declaring that the God of Watchman would visit me very soon.
God, whose “ways are past finding out”, confirmed the word of His servant and performed the counsel of His messenger. Indeed, God visited me in 2011, not long after the pastor had prayed for me. I was so excited when I noticed a change in my body and much more when I went to the clinic and undertook a medical test and it was confirmed that I was pregnant. The pregnancy went through its normal course and I was delivered of my baby on February 12, 2012. I give God all the glory for making me a fulfilled person. Today, I am a happy mother with a joyful home. Praise the Lord!”
