BRETHREN praise the Lord! My name is Romanus C. Odidika of the Olodi Parish of the Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement, Lagos. I want to testify about what the Lord has done in my life. It would be recalled that on January 8, 2014, Watchman pastors and their wives were in a meeting with our General Superintendent at the Rock Chapel in LOGISS, Awo-Omamma, Imo State, but something spectacular happened to me on that day. For fourteen years, I had suffered from a disease known as fatty liver. The affliction was so severe that it was always difficult for me to turn my body to face different directions. I went to some hospitals for treatment but all efforts to find a solution were to no avail. After a long while, my daughter searched the internet and read something about it. It was said that the disease was incurable but one Mr. Ezra in the United States of America had written a book about it where it was said that he explained how one could go about the treatment of the disease. We searched for the book from most of the popular bookshops around but the information we got was that it was not available in the country.
My son contacted his friend in the US and asked him to help us look for the book after explaining the details to him. Luckily, he got the book, packaged and sent it, and it was delivered on Wednesday, January 8, 2014. The delivery coincided with our meeting with the man of God which commenced at about 7.30am that day and lasted till about 4.00pm. We then had a break and resumed for the second session at 10.00pm which now stretched to the following morning. At that meeting, the man of God prayed fervently and diversely. Little did I know that as he was sweating himself out in prayer, so was the problem of the fatty liver being torn away. After the prayers, we retired to our hostels and as I laid down to rest, I discovered that the pains had disappeared.
While it lasted, the disease wove itself round my liver and increased at an alarming proportion. The doctors told me it would lead to death by the time it covers the entire liver. They hinted also that applying any drug would cause serious damage to the liver which also would lead to death. My prayer had always been that God should deliver me from the sickness and that very day when the man of God prayed, I was delivered. Now I can bend towards any direction without any pains. God did this to show that He is almighty. If I had read the book and applied whatever measures it recommended, part of the credit for my healing would have gone to the author of the book. But because God would not share His glory with any person, He heard the prayer of His servant and healed me even before I was able to make use of the book, and today I am sharing the testimony. In fact, I have not read the book even till now that I am sharing this testimony. Before this miracle took place, whenever I ruminated over the sickness it made me sad. It would be recalled that at one of the workers’ meetings where the man of God was in attendance, he had mentioned that if any person in the congregation was being threatened by death in whatever form, that that person should move forward for prayers so it could be prayed away. I was among those who went out to the podium that day and he prayed for us. I want to thank God for His healing power upon me. Today, I am alive and well. Praise the Lord!”
